David Fishwick, the Colne entrepreneur bejind the multi-million pound dealership, has agreed to back the club for another year as they push their way up the league. The van and minibus centre become Colne’s kit sponsor last season for their first faray in the Nort West Counties First Bivision, when they finished a best-ever tenth position. Now the club, in their ninth year, are looking forward and David Fishwick is backing them all the way. “It is really good to see the club going from strength to strength and they had a fantastic last season. Now I’m looking forward to seeing them do even better next season, and if my support can help then that is great” said David. “I am a big fan of local, grass roots sports and think it is really important for the community. It also gives local kids something to aim for an get involved with.” The player-chairman at the club, James Webster (26), said “Since stepping up a division we have faced a whole new set of challenges for us – on and off the pitch. The fantastic support we are getting from David and our other sponsors means we can carry on the excellent work of the last four years. It really is a launch-pad for us to go on to bigger and better things.” |
