Mr. Fishwick, one of the nation’s top dealer, has aquired the holding site to complement his local headquarters in Byron Road, Colne. He said: “It means we can serve the bottom part of the country far more quickly, as having the site in Birmingham cuts delivery times. It was desperately needed because although we are based in Lancashire, we have customers all over the country. We trade from the Hebrides to the tip of Cornwall and we also sell to operators in the Isle of Man, Ireland and even Malta.” The two-year-old business which is the biggest supplier of 17 seater mini buses in Europe and sells vans and mini buses from £3,000 to £33,000, has boomed thanks to Mr. Fishwick’s back to basics approach and his competitive prices. He buys both new and used LDV and Mercedes Benz vans direct from the manufactuers in bulk and pays up front, rather than using finance, which means he win generous discounts that he can pass on to customers. His conversion plants in Colne and Stockport, which convert LDV and Mercedes vans in luxury minicoaches, have also been praised for their “can do” approach to creating bespoke mini buses which meet the needs of people with specific disabilities. |
